CNM Webinar: Raise Your Arm and Measure Quality Improvement Changes Outpatient
Join us for our April webinar!
April 4, 2023 at 9a PT/ 12p ET
Speaker: Anna Busenburg, RD, CSP, LD, CLC
Assessing nutritional status is commonly assessed by using weight, length and head circumference for both inpatient and outpatient. More institutions are starting to incorporate other ways to assess nutritional changes including mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC). This method of measurement is commonly used in adults and older children with limited data in the neonatal population. In this presentation, discussion will revolve around implementing a quality improvement (QI) project using MUAC measurements in an outpatient clinic, tracking that data compliance and then branch out into use in a remote patient monitoring program. By the end of this presentation, attendees will be to understand methods for completing QI framework to facilitate a new, inexpensive nutrition assessment tool to use in the clinic setting and in the patient’s home.
We anticipate this webinar will be approved for 1.0 hours CPEU.
