BEANS: Benefits for Aging, Exceptional Value, Affordable, Nutrient-Rich, and Sustainable
February 22, 2022 @ 9a PT/ 12p ET

Speaker: Chris Rosenbloom, PhD, RDN, FAND
People who eat beans regularly have a longer life expectancy than people who don’t eat beans regularly. The goodness of beans extends far beyond a substantial life span. They help support a healthy lifestyle by promoting important components, including digestive health, heart health and weight management, to name just a few. A national survey shows that Registered Dietitian Nutritionists know most of these benefits, but most consumers don’t. This webinar will examine the nutrition benefits and evidence-based research around beans and their role in healthy aging. Chris Rosenbloom, PhD, RDN, FAND, will share the importance of beans and their place in the diet, and years of evidence-based research on their nutrition benefits. Applying her expertise in eating well, moving well, and being well for adults in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond, she will share practical strategies on how to share the benefits of beans and encourage consumers to incorporate more beans into meals and snacks every day.
