The Academy’s many resources: Standards of Practice/Standards of Professional Performance, Standards of Excellence Metric Tool and quality improvement resources, provide guidance to Clinical Nutrition Managers in improving operations and developing best practices in their departments. A review of these resources will include highlights of practical applications. Real life examples of their use in evaluating and optimizing department operations (Standards of Excellence Metric Tool), development and implementation of a clinical ladder (SOP/SOPP), and quality improvement tools in action, will demonstrate their effectiveness in creating progressive clinical nutrition programs.
